What You Are Bidding On:Drink and chat at the Up in the Aether Convention
Description:Can’t make it to RT for that fun? What about Up in the Aether in Detroit? Seleste deLaney will be there—likely corseted and unable to breathe, but she’ll be there. You are bidding on a drink and (minimum) 30 minute one-on-one chat with her at the hotel bar where you can choose the topic of discussion while she pays for your booze. (1 drink limit…some personal topics may be off-limits. Not likely though.) Time for the drinks must be arranged around Seleste’s scheduled convention duties.
This just in! Cindy Spencer Pape has come to the dark side...and not for the cookies. She's offering to buy the second round OR you can bring a friend to the meeting and she'll spring for that drink. It's twice the evil for one low price!
At a young age, Seleste discovered the trick to not being afraid of the monsters under the bed was to turn them into heroes. Since that’s time, she’s seen more than enough of human monsters that she prefers to escape into worlds where even the demons have rules to play by and the good guys might end up battered and bruised (or dead), but they always win. Now, those worlds have made it into this one and you can find her work in the pages of the Blood Kissed series, Badlands series, as a contributor to the multi-author series Cupid’s Conquests, and in several short story anthologies.
How to Bid:In the comment section, leave a message with the amount you are bidding. We ask that you pledge in whole dollar increments ($1, $5, etc), and in US funds. Remember to only bid what you'll be able to commit to.
Bidding is open until February 15, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. PST (8:00 p.m. EST) so check back on your favorite auctions and bid often!
When the auction has closed, we'll email you about your winning status. We ask that you donate directly to Crestline Elementary (payment options will be forwarded) and send us the receipt as verification.
